There is no sign of 'Capitol' records, Universal Music or anything other than Harvest Records. and no, I'm NOT going to try and take it off! It's the one with the 10"x10" 'spattered color' huge sticker in the middle of the front cover. PINK FLOYD DARK SIDE OF THE MOON (180G Vinyl LP) at Music Direct » Here is the link to the one I now have and am talking about:

So a)either somebody put some bad LSD in their drinking water, or b)they are REALLY full of cacca, or c)the initial 2011 pressing has been updated.

I HAVE NEVER HEARD A MORE DETAILED, SPATIALLY RICH, DEEPER SOUNDSTAGE THAT'S ABSOLUTELYįRIGHTENING to listen to.and the bass extension is SUPERB!įirst of all, I know that this LP has been discussed to DEATH here there and everywhere (nice Beatles ref eh? ), But in the above thread, which is now closed, almost everybody posting just slagged it. This Current Domestic Vinyl version is beyond 'Audiophile' in it's sound quality. Having had various cd mutations of 'Dark Side' and the 30th Anniversary Vinyl editions I have come to one conclusion: And with all Friendliness, your all full of cacca! Now, I have to say that I disagree with every naysayer on that one page thread. In typical beave fashion I'd like to turn your attention to this old/closed SH thread about this vinyl: Well, I just got this LP today from MusicDirect and I have to say that I am Aurally Stunned. Has anyone else found this? I'm wondering if it worth ordering a copy from somewhere else in the hope that the two I got (from the same supplier) are a bad batch. In summary, I hear very clear bright versions of Time, Great Gig, Money and the remainder of the album is muddy in comparison. I ordered a second copy of the album as I thought it was a problem on the one I had, but it is identical. If I listen carefully, I get 10 very nice sounding snares but then the 11th (and onwards) loses all of the space around it. But, when the song finishes, you get about 10 seconds of incredibly clear bright drums in Us and Them before the the drums go muddy. In particular, on side b, Money - the first track - I find the sound to be very open and forward with very bright drums. In a nutshell, I've found that 3 tracks in the middle of the album are very bright, open and have extended top end, but the remainder is quite flat.

I should start by mentioning I dont have any other versions on vinyl so I'm not looking for any advice as to this version compared with others, but rather in relation to an experience I've had with the 2011 version. I was hopeful that some of you might be able to share your experiences with the LP version of the 2011 DSOTM remaster.
